On 19 April I’ll be taking on the Manchester Marathon to raise money for United Lincolnshire Hospitals Charity.

Through my work with the charity I see first-hand the difference that donations make across our hospitals - helping fund equipment, improve patient environments and support staff who care for people every day.

Over the past few months I’ve been training (probably spending too much time lifting weights...), recently completing a half marathon as part of the preparation, which was the furthest I have ever ran. The full marathon will be a huge challenge, but it’s nothing compared to what many patients and families go through.

I will be aiming for 4:59:59, but will take just being able to finish as a win!
