Take on the world's biggest half marathon to raise vital funds for Lincolnshire's hospitals!

Join us for the Great North Run 2026, an unforgettable 13.1-mile route from Newcastle upon Tyne to South Shields — all in support of United Lincolnshire Hospitals Charity. The Great North Run is known for its incredible atmosphere, warm North East welcome and thousands of runners taking part each year.

Taking place on Sunday 13 September 2026, this iconic event brings together runners of all abilities for one of the most famous race days in the UK.

From the buzz of the start line in Newcastle, to crossing the famous Tyne Bridge and finishing by the coast in South Shields, you’ll be part of a truly special running experience. Whether you’re aiming for a personal best or taking on your first half marathon, you’ll be carried along by fantastic crowds, live entertainment and the famous Great North Run atmosphere.

Every mile you run helps us go beyond NHS funding — supporting patients, families and staff across United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust with those extra touches that make a real difference.
